  • Leave all personal items at home (including jewelry, wedding rings, purses, etc.)

  • Do not wear make-up or contact lenses. Contacts will have to be removed prior to surgery.

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and shoes.

  • Bring someone with you who can drive you home and stay with you the remainder of the day.

When you arrive - one of our registration staff will review your paperwork with you and notify the surgical staff of your arrival.

  • Please bring your driver’s license and insurance cards. If special financial arrangements are necessary, please call the Surgery Center prior to admission. 419-429-0409

  • Co-pays are due at the time of your procedure and can be paid by cash, check, credit or debit card.

Once you have been admitted:
  • A nurse will escort you to our pre-operative area. For most surgeries, you will be asked to change into a gown and socks provided by the Surgical Center. All of your items will be placed in a secured locker until you are ready to go home.

  • While waiting comfortably in a recliner or bed for your procedure to begin, you will be given a pre-operative evaluation, including taking your pulse, temperature, and blood pressure.

  • If your surgery requires anesthesia, you will meet with an anesthesiologist.

  • Your family may be able to join you in the pre-operative area.

  • Once your procedure is completed, you will be taken to the recovery area. Once you are alert and awake, you will be given a snack, and your family will be able to join you.
